Marshmellows

 Marsshmallows

Marshmallows are a type of candy that are typically made from sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, and flavorings, which are whipped together to create a fluffy, light and airy texture. The mixture is then piped into small rounds or molded into various shapes and sizes before being coated with a layer of cornstarch or powdered sugar to prevent sticking.

Marshmallows

Marshmallows can be eaten on their own as a sweet treat, or they can be used as an ingredient in a variety of desserts, such as s'mores, hot cocoa, and Rice Krispies treats. They are also commonly roasted over a fire or toasted using a kitchen torch to create a crispy, caramelized exterior and a soft, gooey interior.

There are several different types of marshmallows, including:

  1. Classic Marshmallows: These are the most common type of marshmallows, typically white in color, and have a sweet, vanilla-like flavor.

  2. Fruit-Flavored Marshmallows: These are marshmallows that are flavored with fruit extracts or concentrates, such as strawberry, raspberry, or orange.

  3. Chocolate-Covered Marshmallows: These are marshmallows that are coated in chocolate, which can be either milk, dark, or white chocolate.

  4. Vegan Marshmallows: These are marshmallows that are made without any animal-derived ingredients, such as gelatin, and are typically made using plant-based alternatives, such as agar agar.

  5. Giant Marshmallows: These are oversized marshmallows that are often used for roasting or to make larger s'mores.

  6. Peeps: These are a type of marshmallow candy that are shaped like chicks, bunnies, or other animals, and are often associated with Easter.

  7. Gourmet Marshmallows: These are marshmallows that come in a variety of unique flavors, such as lavender, chai tea, or salted caramel, and are often handmade in small batches.
